The HangSafe Hook is more than just a piece of plastic from the Schauer family. In 1992, HangSafe founder, Kevin Schauer, watched as his young son’s face came dangerously close to protruding coat hooks on the wall of a local facility. As a concerned parent he approached the administration about the "eye pokers" in the facility.
