The Story of HangSafe Hooks

In 1992, as Kevin Schauer visited with friends after Sunday service, he watched his son play in the halls of their church in Springfield, Missouri. It became apparent that the traditional hooks protruding from the walls at his son's eye level were a safety hazard that could cause head or eye injury.

After the danger was brought to the attention of church leadership, the burden of finding a solution was on Kevin. As a result, Kevin developed the original design of HangSafe Hooks™.

The product was met with positive feedback. This feedback included demand from area schools and churches. Therefore, the decision was made to further develop the safe hook into a viable business.

Since 1993, the Schauer Group has manufactured and sold HangSafe Hooks™ system to schools, daycares, churches and recreational centers across the nation. Since, Kevin has developed other storage systems: HangSafe Shelves™, HangSafe Shelf Racks™, and HangSafe Corner Shelves™.

While customers have expressed their pleasure with HangSafe Hooks and its uniqueness, safety and durability, they are further pleased with HangSafe Hooks ability to customize their systems for their exact need.

In this customization process, Kevin and his team, located in Nixa, Missouri work closely with customers. With a primary concern that our any product sold is right for each project. HangSafe adjusts systems to fit wall space, wall type and aesthetic needs. Once orders are placed and prepared, the HangSafe team will be in regular contact with customers to inform them about progress on their orders.
